Alicia Vikander shared her regret about not returning for a sequel to her 2018 Tomb Raider film. In an exclusive interview with The Independent for their Go to Bat series, Vikander expressed her regret and confusion about the situation.

Vikander also reflected on the role of intimacy coordinators in film production. She admitted to being surprised by how unclear things were before their introduction. She recalled that in the past, actors often had to film intimate scenes with little guidance or support.
Vikander noted the positive changes brought about by the presence of intimacy coordinators, who help create a safer and more respectful working environment, especially for younger actors who previously had to navigate such scenes without adequate guidance.
